Altiora Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Government Proposal Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and submitting high-quality proposals to secure government contracts. This position requires a strong understanding of government procurement processes, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Research, write, and edit proposals in response to government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc.).
- Compliance: Ensure proposals are compliant with solicitation requirements and government regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and develop compelling proposals.
- Strategy: Develop proposal strategies and value propositions to increase the likelihood of successful bids.
- Document Management: Manage the proposal development process, including creating drafts, schedules, and submission timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Review and revise proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and understand government contracting trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in government proposal writing or a similar role.
- Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations, including FAR, DFAR, and other relevant guidelines.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Proposal Management Professional (CPMP).
- Experience with GSA schedules and other government contracting vehicles.
- Knowledge of industry-specific government contracting requirements.
